So while I was driving in traffic I noticed this stupid looking thing next to me and decided to take a picture. While I have heard of these things on the internet and have seen pictures, this was my first viewing in real life. I realize the frenzy of going green and the efficiency of more mpg’s but I think this thing looks dumb. I’m still working out an opinion on it but I would like to hear other people thoughts and views on this. Anywhoo, I have added a new category to my blog where I will ask peoples opinions on certain things and I hope many of you contribute. The new category is called Public Opinion.
Yesterday we took Aiden and Chase on there first day trip. We drove down to San Diego to visit Cameron. Besides a couple of car sick episodes the drive went rather smoothly. We arrived at Cameron’s a little after lunch because we had to time the boys nap times with drive times. We relaxed at Cam’s for a while and then headed over to the Midway Museum. The boys had a great time playing on the ship and even got a little close to some of the airplanes. They ran a muck. After the Midway we went over to Balboa park and I got to run around the train museum for a few minutes. Not as big as I remembered it.
The boys played outside and hung around the water fountain. When it started getting dark we went back to Cam’s and picked up some food. We ate dinner and fed the boys. We brought there pajamas and drove home. They slept the entire way. Way to go sleep schedule. We arrived and placed them in their bed. They never woke up. It was beautiful. My only suggestion for those with kids and wanting to go out. It is alway good to hame a center of operations like a hotel room or a friends house. You can view the gallery HERE!
Well, I finally brought home Tron from the Flyds house. Sean Hartman had left it there when he moved to Florida. Sam kept it for a while and there it entertained people for a couple of years. I had asked for it and Sam said sure. pick it up! another couple of years went by and one day I went to the Floyds and there it was by the trash cans. I was like WHATTTTT!!!!!????? With the help of Davey, Sean, and Roman I through it in the back of my car and finally brought it home. What luck! it worked! But only after my brother (the electrical genius) spliced the power cable back after some dogs had chewed through it. Now comes the fun part of restoring it. I found much of the vector art work files online as well as the 129 page manual for it. In the manual it has all the schematics and parts numbers for the internal pieces. I also found the T-molding online as well as a company that reprints all the original artwork. My brother is helping me with all the electrical and we are currently trying to get all the fluorescent lights and black lights working. I’m learning so much from him. Like did you know all fluorescent lights have an independent fluorescent starter in the back that makes it turn on? I didn’t! I have ordered some of the decals online and I plan to print my own decals to save cost. The cabinet will be repainted and everything well look great.

I think I just came a little. Sure! I still have my doubts in the direction that they will take this movie. And I am not sure about the whole crystal skull alien connection. But COME ON! Indiana Jones!
Last Weekend Aiden was hospitalized with RSV which inevitably Chase caught. Fortunately Chase did not have to stay at the hospital. Christine and I realized how miserable and emotionally draining hospital stays can be and the nature of touch and go illnesses. All in all they where both fine but we did get out of schedule with the boys which they desperately need. Bedtimes and mealtime and playtimes are very important for growing boys. This weekend we took it easy with them and did not take them anywhere crowded with lots of kids. Walks around the neighborhood and friends and families houses where in order. There is a new gallery of my boys here! There are definitely some of the cutest pics of my boys that I have ever scene!
